REFLECTION
Educational technology is helpful
in many ways in terms of teaching learning process. In the traditional role, the
technology serves as the teacher in which learners learn from the technology. While in the constructivist perspective, the
technology serves as the partner in learning in which it is a medium of what
the learners know and they engage in the learning. It is based on theoretical
knowledge and experiential knowledge drawn from educational practice.
Technology facilitates learning
processes and increase performance of the educational systems. Computer-based
learning environments gives us a new perspective on the nature of teaching and
learning and indeed on general educational objectives. It is an integrated process
for designing instruction or training used to improve performance of the
students. As a future educator, it is important for us to know the role of
technology in teaching learning process in order to facilitate learning
effectively.
